MC Personnel are excited to be recruiting for an Sustainability Consultant on behalf of one of our established clients based in Reading. This multi award winning international client are a specialist planning & multi-disciplinary engineering design consultancy. Job Role: Sustainability Consultant

We are looking for someone with a passion for sustainability and the desire to learn. You will have a good grounding in sustainable building design and energy policy/legislation to drive the company’s growth plans. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist our sustainability team and associated services proposition
  • Undertake Energy Statements and Energy Modelling Simulations for planning applications and lead responses to clients/local authorities
  • Undertake Daylight/Sunlight/Overshadowing Assessments
  • Complex Thermal Modelling analysis to assist with Environmental design
  • Develop and build relationships with industry peers, consultants and Clients

Essential Key Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 1-year work experience in a UK sustainability consultancy.
  • Masters level Engineering degree or Environmental Degree qualified
  • Experience in delivering sustainability and energy statement.
  • Experience in delivering daylight/sunlight/overshadowing analysis and internal daylight assessment, using Sketch-up and IES-VE.
  • Confidence in using IES-VE, Sketch-up, and AutoCAD software tools.
  • Ability to understand architecture and survey AutoCAD drawings
  • The capacity to work autonomously and proactively.
  • Attention to details.

Preferable experience

  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Good understanding of Right of Light assessment
  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • SAP and SBEM knowledge
  • Understanding of BREEAM
