Job Information

We are currently recruiting for our busy client based in Watford.

Being a fast-paced environment you will be working on a number of varied task and must be able to multi task while maintaining precise attention to detail. It is important that you have a structured way of working and can be flexible in the task you will be responsible for.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounting, Tax and Administrative support to clients
  • On boarding clients
  • Incorporating companies
  • Registering companies
  • Registering companies for VAT and PAYE and Corporation Tax
  • Liaising with client via telephone, email and post
  • Processing PAYE and VAT returns
  • Processing of client payroll
  • Bank and other reconciliations
  • Adhering to all filing deadlines – which includes chasing clients for missing information
  • Filing Annual returns and assisting with end of year returns
  • Meeting deadlines, such as the clearing of e-mails and post daily
  • Communicating with HMRC on behalf of the client
  • Answer and field calls
  • Assist with back office Accounting Administrative duties

Reporting

  • Creating and maintaining client files on internal databases and management of CRM
  • Internal reporting supporting head accountant

Skills and experience

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent telephone manner – this is essential
  • Excellent level of literacy, written communication and analytical skills
  • Excellent level of numeracy & commercial judgement
  • Accountancy, tax or payroll experience is highly preferable

Desired Qualification:

  • Good academic record
  • Accounting or tax qualifications preferable (can be working towards one)
  • General computer knowledge and good use of Microsoft packages (in particular Excel) is highly desirable
