We are recruiting for an experienced Transfer Operator with a forklift/counterbalance licence, for their well established client in Medway City Estate

The hours of work are 6pm – 6am working on a 4 on and 4 off basis

The salary will be based on experience plus shift allowance

Tasks and Responsibilities

• To co-ordinate the transfer of processed raw materials from internal silos through to the correct packing line for packing as finished goods
• The movement of palatalised finished goods as they come off the packing line and moving to location within the warehouse
• To ensure that goods are moved and loaded correctly, safely and efficiently
• To ensure that the warehouse area is kept clean at all times
• To ensure the safety of oneself and others at all times and adhere to good health and safety practise
• The safe usage of the forklift truck, including daily routine checks of the vehicle before use
• Be prepared to develop the necessary skills and to efficiently carry out all tasks
• Flexibility to be an all round team player and help out with packing, stacking and on the process line as required
• Any other reasonable duties as required

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in a production/manufacturing environment
• 1500kg Counter Balance Forklift Licence with proven experience post qualification
• Able to follow instructions and use own initiative
• Able to complete tasks quickly and accurately
• Good communication skills
